Pour la FAO, dans beaucoup de régions, les changements de régime alimentaire et la concentration des marchés provoqués par la mondialisation, ont aggravé les problèmes de santé, notamment l’obésité et le diabète. « … Les programmes d’alimentation scolaire financés par la FAO, sont essentiels dans la lutte contre ces défis, car ils fournissent auprès des agriculteurs locaux et offrent aux enfants, une alimentation nutritive. C’est la raison pour laquelle la FAO travaille avec les petits agriculteurs, les pêcheurs et les autorités locales, afin d’étendre la protection sociale et l’inclusion économique aux personnes les plus vulnérables, en les aidant à diversifier leur production, à créer d’autres sources de revenus et à se relier à de nouveaux marchés… » a t’il expliqué. La FAO invite à s’engager dans cette bataille En outre, la FAO a également invité les gouvernements, le secteur privé, le milieu universitaire, la société civile ou des individus, à l’action collective qui consiste à s’engager à cette bataille pour des changements profonds. » … Les gouvernements ne sont pas les seuls que nous appelons à s’engager dans cette bataille. Le Président de la République Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi est arrivé dimanche 22 septembre à New-York, aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique, pour participer aux travaux de la 79ème session de l’Assemblée générale des Chefs d’Etat et de gouvernement des Nations-Unies, écrit le journal Le Quotidien. Le Chef de l’État congolais entame une mission officielle marquée par une intense activité politique et diplomatique, indique le tabloïd. Cette session intervient, selon l’Agence congolaise de presse, dans un contexte international marqué par une avancée significative dans la réforme du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies tant souhaitée par les Africains. En effet, explique l’agence, pour la première fois, les Etats-Unis d’Amérique sont favorables à l’élargissement du Conseil de sécurité à deux pays africains sans droit de veto. Thaïlande: Une femme de 64 ans survit à une attaque de python
Une femme âgée de 64 ans a été sauvée d’une attaque de python en Thaïlande, rapportent des sources médiatiques relayant l’information. La RTL info a indiqué pendant près de deux heures, la sexagénaire dont le nombre n’a pas été révélée, a été encerclée par un serpent avant que les secours lui arrivent et la délivre finalement de son impasse Les images capturées par une caméra fixée sur un policier montrent la victime déprimée en train d’être prise au piège par l’animal. « Le serpent en dessous de vous ? Ne bougez pas ! Plus vous bougez, plus le serpent se contractera », criait le policier déterminé à sauver l’infortunée. Rapportant le récit de sa situation dangereuse, l’aide-soignante de 64 ans dit avoir lutté désespérément pour sa vie. « Au début, j’ai attrapé sa tête pour essayer de lui faire lâcher prise, mais il ne voulait pas. Il a continué à serrer plus fort. Quand j’ai vu qu’il commençait à glisser, j’ai lâché sa tête, il s’est éloigné et il est revenu », a-t-elle raconté, heureuse d’avoir été délivrée de son emprise mortelle. Alerté par les cris de détresses lancées par cette femme, un gardien va à son tour alerter la police qui arriva précipitamment sur le lieu. « Nous avons enfoncé la porte et nous avons vu la femme âgée étranglée par un serpent sur le sol.
